Like many pet owners, I was confused as to what the best food options were for my furry, four-legged son. Believe me, I tried them all...the "best" of the best dry foods, numerous raw foods, you name it. Finally after so much confusion and numerous (failed) attempts, I finally gave up and fed him food from the land. My little guy now eats grass-fed beef from cows not treated with antibiotics or hormones or cage/antibiotic/hormone-free chicken mixed with some sort of vegetable and starch (usually organic brown rice). His current veggie faves are homemade tomato sauce, sauteed spinach, and sauteed acorn squash. He has been on the "diet" for nearly two months now and he is uber REGULAR...I mean 2-3 BMs a day and not to be too graphic, but they are firm and the elimination process is quick! Dogs are wolf descendants and historically lived "off the land." What do you think they ate before the food industry created ALPO and Purina??? I'm very happy with his diet and I think he is too, I have noticed that his energy is through the roof since the new diet (a mixed blessing indeed). ;)
